Intelligence and Personality Test
Apart from the written test and SSB(staff selection board's interview) the candidate are put to an intelligence test. This test comprising of verbal and non verbal test is intended to assess the candidate's basic intelligence.
All these tests are intended to judge the mental calibre of a candidate. All these test aim at assessing not only his intellectual qualities but also his social traits and interests in current affairs.
Following are the test that a candidate will undergo:
a) Situation Reaction Test (SRT) - About sixty situations are given and the candidate has to give reaction to all within 30 minutes.
b) Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) - A set of 12 pictures are shown and the candidate is required to write a story in 3 minutes for each picture.
c) Word Association Test (WAT) - Sixty words are projected and the candidate is requires to make a sentence, in 15 seconds for each word.
