Electrical Engineering is the mother branch of Electronics & Computer Science. It is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first become an identifiable occupation in late 19th century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing & telecommunications. SIT offers a four year course in the field of Electrical Engineering. The faculty research expertise covers communication & signal processing, control and robotics, intergrated circuits and VLSI system design, Intelligent Systems, and Nanoscale Materials and Devices.

Eligibility

The candidates must have passed intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized Board / University with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects i.e. Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science. For direct admission in 2nd year the requirement is 60% marks in diploma in concerned stream.

Admission Procedure

Through state entrance examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. For admission in Management seats through merit the candidate must have passed intermediate examination/Equivalent (10+2) with 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
