Mechanical Engineering has been an all time favourite profession for many aspirants till date. lts importance never diminishes because mechanical engineers are required almost in all industries. Mechanical Engineering is concerned with Designing, Development of Machines; Engineering Systems for Transport, Railways, Air-conditioning, refrigeration, automobiles etc. Mechanical engineers are required by manufacturing industries as maintenance engineers, production engineers, quality control engineers etc. Developed countries like USA, UK , Japan, Germany, Korea and other such countries are establishing their plants in India in this field of engineering.

Eligibility

The candidates must have passed intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) from any recognized Board / University with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects i.e. Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science. For direct admission in 2nd year the requirement is 60% marks in diploma in concerned stream.

Admission Procedure

Through state entrance examination conducted by Uttar Prasesh Technical University, Lucknow. For admission in Management seats through merit the candidate must have passed intermediate examination/Equivalent (10+2) with 60 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
