The CS & IT Department with a total numbers of 283 Students, with the sex ratio of 224 Boys and 59 Girls, is headed by Mr. Pankaj Sharma (BE, M.Tech) with an experience of almost 13 years is the hub of most major activities of the institute. The department has the work force of 21 highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, none with an experience of less than 2 years.
Students of Sachdeva Institute of Technology are continuously participating in most of the activities that are being organized at Inter College level and at Inter-university level as well. Students have made others feel their presence by winning positions.
CS & IT department encourages students to fly high with their aspirations as the department organizes quiz contests, Paper presentation etc frequently.
Recently, second year CS & IT students Participated in "Robotics Exhibition" held at GLAITM, Mathura and as per the expectations they won first prize for making and presenting a model of a Line Following Robot (LFR).
Our Students have also won second prize in presentation held at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura on "Soft Computing" dated 18th March to 20th March 2009.
Many students also participated in "Cognizant Event" held at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee from 20th March to 22nd March 2009. They participated in ROBOSAPIENS and LOT OF BYTES programmes of the Event.
The department not only boasts of its academic excellence, but, with view of all round development of its scholars, organizes many sporting competitions like Spardha, in which games like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Volleyball, Tug of war, carom & Chess were included.
The departmental annual function is one of its own kind with so much harmonious dancing, singing and acting to transport any one to the other world of peace, unity and harmony.
The departmental runs various value added courses too, which are highly beneficial to our students to get their projects in industries and MNC's. Currently the department is running three technology based programs on Java, .NET and PHP. Value-added activities are organized as per the market needs and day-to-day technology trends.
"TROIKA" is the student's Society which organizes different activities among students at their level like quizes, competitions, extempore etc.
